SMOKING BLOOMBERG is about a Korean dry cleaner named Kim who seeks her revenge on Mayor Michael Bloomberg after his NYC smoking ban ruins her business.  Along the way, she must come to grips with the ever-widening gap between the American Dream and the American Reality.  Full of pissed-off New Yorkers, a Korean love interest (and man-whore) also named Kim, a frequently arrested Arab, and a certain really rich white mayor, the story uses the smoking ban as a springboard to satirize our country’s global loss of personal freedom in the post-9/11 world, and is a biting, irreverent lampoon of American democracy.

And yes.  It’s a musical.

“Ever wonder what it must have been like to sit in a theatre for the first performance of

A Chorus Line, Rent, or any other unlikely phenomenon in the making?

Stop wondering.  See Smoking Bloomberg.”
